IMVU is an online chat community that allows you to create your own customized chat avatar. You can change the way the avatar looks and behaves by purchasing appearance items from the IMVU store using IMVU credits. The way your avatar stands is controlled by the basic avatar setting. You can purchase a new avatar and wear that avatar setting to change the way your avatar stands.
Instructions
1. Launch the IMVU chat client on your computer and log in to your account.
2. Click the "Shop" button to the right of your avatar.
3. Type "Avatar" in the search box, and press the "Enter" key. This shows you all the avatars you can purchase with your IMVU credits.
4. Click the "Try" box under the avatar name to preview the avatar, including the standing pose.
5. Select the "Buy" button under the avatar name to purchase the avatar using your IMVU credits.
6. Click the "Home" tab, then click the "Dress Up" button to the right of your avatar.
7. Press the "Avatar" category button within the "My Avatar" box. This shows you your avatars, including the one you purchased.
8. Click on the avatar you purchased to apply it to your avatar. Your avatar will change appearance, including the way the avatar stands.
