Attach a Night Scope to a Rifle in "Fallout: New Vegas"
The post-apocalyptic role-playing game "Fallout: New Vegas" features "weapon mods," items you can attach to weapons to enhance or improve them. The Night Scope mod can be attached to the Varmint Rifle, for which it adds visibility in low-light conditions. You attach the Night Scope as you would any other weapon mod, via the Weapon Mod menu, accessible through the game's main menu system, the Pip-Boy.
Instructions
1. Bring up your Pip-Boy. The button to do so varies with the system you're playing the game on: On the PC it's "Tab," on the Xbox 360 it's "B," and on the PlayStation 3 it's "O." Select "Items," then "Weapons."
2. Use the control stick (on a console) or the mouse cursor (on the PC) to highlight the rifle to which you want to attach the scope.
3. Look in the top right of the Pip-Boy screen to find out what button you should press to bring up the weapon mod menu. Like the Pip-Boy button, this button varies depending on the system (on the PS3, for example, it's the rear-left trigger), but it will always be specified in the top right.
4. Select the night scope from the weapon mod menu. Remember that once you attach the scope, as with any weapon modification, the attachment will be permanent.
