Change The Line On Your Craftsman Gas Weed Wacker

Craftsman gas weed trimmers come in a wide range of models, with varying features and degrees of power. Each model uses a string cutting line. When the line runs out, it must be reloaded in order for the trimmer to function properly. Sears Craftsman recommends using Craftsman replacement line to ensure the trimmer works properly. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Twist the guide plate on the cutting head to align the release tab. Press the release tab and remove the guide plate.

2. Clean any dirt or debris off of the line trimmer head.

3. Replace the guide plate. Position the guide plate so the arrow lines up with the letter "A" if your trimmer uses red or black trimmer line. Align the arrow to the letter "B" for any other color line.

4. Bend the replacement string in half. Feed both ends through the hole in the trimmer head. Pull the string through the other end until it lays firm against the trimmer head hub.
