Soldiers have to spend time away their from family and friends at some point in their careers. This can be a lonely, uncertain time, especially if they're in another country in harm's way. Show you care and support them. Give the gift of spiritual comfort and guidance by donating bibles to the troops. This can be done by monetary donations or by donating the bibles yourself.
Instructions
Monetary Donation to Purchase Bibles
1. Decide if you want to send monetary donations to organizations that will purchase bibles to donate to the troops or if you want to donate the actual bibles to troops. Either method will provide the troops with bibles.
2. Locate a few charity organizations that accepts bible donations and/or monetary donations to purchase bibles for the troops. Bibles for Soldiers, American Bible Society and Soldiers Bible Ministry has donation drives to supply soldiers with bibles.
3. Log onto the organization's website and select the "Donate" button to make a monetary donation. Enter your donation amount.
4. Provide your name, credit card information and billing address. Submit the information to complete the donation process. Print a copy of the receipt of your donation, and keep it for your records.
Actual Bible Donations
5. Locate the organization's mailing address used to send donations through the mail and its contact number. This information is normally located under the "Donation" and/or the "Contact Us" section of the website. Write this information down.
6. Call the organization to confirm it is accepting bible donations and that the address found on its website is the appropriate address to send bibles that you want to donate. Depending on the number of bibles you're sending, it may provide another address for you to send them to.
7. Mail the bibles off to the address specified by the organization. Send it by a traceable method of delivery if you want confirmation that it reached its destination. FedEx, UPS and the United States Postal Service all provide various methods of traceable delivery options.
