Activate The Pipboy Light In "Fallout 3"

Much of Bethesda's science-fiction role-playing game "Fallout 3" takes place in darkened tunnels and sewers. It's a bleak, atmospheric game which often involves scavenging for valuable or useful items in piles of rubble and wreckage. As a result, the light on your Pip-Boy organizer can be a vital tool. However, it's important to monitor when the light is on or off, as it can attract the attention of the game's more hostile characters.

Instructions

1. Press the pause button to access the options menu. Scroll through the available controls to locate the key assigned to "Access Pip Boy." Your Pip-Boy is your in-game organizer. It stores your map, your inventory and displays your stats and current objectives. You'll be accessing it a lot throughout the game.

2. Make a note of the Pip-Boy access key and exit the pause menu. Tapping the key will bring up a full-screen view of your Pip-Boy. Tapping it again will exit the Pip-Boy and return to the game.

3. Hold down the Pip-Boy access key for two to three seconds to toggle the light on and off. If this doesn't work, enter the options screen and re-assign the Pip-Boy Access command to a free key on your keyboard. Return to the game and try it again, then re-enter the options and assign it back to the default key.
