How Do You Change Costumes In Main Mode On "Resident Evil 4"

Changing costumes in "Resident Evil 4" requires an initial playthrough.

"Resident Evil 4" finds protagonist Leon S. Kennedy in rural Spain, searching for kidnapped American first daughter, Ashley Graham. Settings within the game include a rustic Spanish village, a medieval castle, a series of underground mines and a militarized scientific island. You will face such horrors as chainsaw-wielding villagers, possessed cult members and a slew of deadly boss battles. Changing Leon's costume will require surviving all of these in an initial playthrough.

Instructions

1. Beat the game in either normal mode, which is the same as main mode, or professional mode. This makes costumes available.

2. Start a new game.

3. Choose a new costume. An automatic screen prompt will ask you to "select a costume." There will be a normal (default) costume, which is Leon in his traditional leather bomber jacket, and two "special" costumes. "Special 1" is Leon's Raccoon City Police Department uniform. "Special 2" is a gangster costume. Leon's costume determines the costumes of Ashley and Ada Wong. For example, when playing in Leon's police uniform, Ashley is wearing a disco outfit, and Ada is wearing her "Assignment Ada" outfit. These costumes remain active in cut scenes, which are animated story sections that tie the game-play scenarios together.
