Case Management Aide Job Description

Case management aides handle all paperwork and other administrative duties.


A case management aide is a professional found within the social services industry. These individuals provide administrative support to social workers and case managers. While most of the duties of this position are transactional, in certain environments, case management aides may interact with clients.


Reporting Structure


A case management aide is an administration-level position. These individuals typically report to a supervisor who is usually a social worker or case manager.


Paperwork


A case management aide completes all paperwork required to ensure that an organization operates in compliance with company policies and laws. This may include recording client information and documenting the activities of a social worker.


Client Interaction


Sometimes, a case management aide with experience may interact directly with clients. This is particularly the case in busy work environments. Case management aides provide backup to overloaded social workers, answering basic questions and resolving simple issues that clients may have.
