How Should I Dust Rubberwood Furniture

Rubberwood is a light-colored wood that comes from the rubber tree. Once rubber trees are too old to yield a viable amount of latex, they're often chopped into firewood. But rubberwood is also used in furniture. Wood from the rubber tree is flexible and resistant to mold and fungus. Its attractive grain pattern makes it ideal for furniture. You can dust rubberwood very much in the same way you dust any other furniture. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Wipe the rubberwood furniture with a soft, damp cloth. The dampness of the cloth will pick up dust and debris, while dry cloths tend to spread the dust around. Make sure the cloth is just damp and not really wet, because you don't want to saturate the furniture.

2. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove any moisture left on the furniture. Any water allowed to sit on the rubberwood can cloud and stain the grain.

3. Dust your rubberwood furniture two to four times a week. Dust collects on rubberwood fairly quickly. Frequent dusting will keep the furniture clean and help you keep your home free of dust, which can cause problems for those with breathing problems.
