Build A Sofa Bed

Do you find yourself living in small spaces? If so, you might want to combine furniture for multiple uses, such as this sofa bed. Limited space doesn't mean you can't have creativity and style in your living space. Use your imagination to bring your personality to the forefront with this easy to make piece of furniture.

Instructions

Making a Sofa Bed

1. Take a spare, twin-size box spring or mattress and build up the twin bed. The extra box spring will make the twin bed stand higher and look more like a sofa bed. Make sure that this twin bed doesn't have a headboard, as you want it to look like a sofa bed during the day.

2. Buy a bedspread that will not only go with the bed skirt, but also will have the appearance of a sofa cover. The key is to make all the accessories coordinate, just as you would for a sofa or bedspread.

3. Put the bed skirt on the bottom of the bed just like you would for a normal twin-size bed. This will help the bed look more like a sofa during the day.

4. Arrange pillows along the back of the twin-size bed, against the wall. On the sides of the bed add comfy pillows (this is where you put your arms). Let your personality come out when picking the pillows. Small or big, they reflect the style of the room. These pillows can be placed on the floor during the night when using the "sofa" as a bed. With little effort in the morning, replace the pillows and turn the bed back into a sofa.
