Height For Old Bathroom Vanities

An old-fashioned bathroom vanity adds charm to your home.

An old bathroom vanity adds a traditional, antique look to your bathroom, but you may notice that you are bending down to check out your appearance in the mirror. If your old bathroom vanity is shorter than you would like, there is no reason to get rid of it or to continue crouching. Instead, use furniture lifters to give your vanity the extra height it needs. Choose permanent wood furniture risers that match your vanity. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Clean all four feet of your vanity using soap and water, and allow them to dry thoroughly before you proceed. Cleaning the feet will remove any debris that might cause the risers to sit unevenly in the cupped surface of the risers.

2. Lift each foot of your vanity and slide a wood furniture riser under each. Each riser should be of identical size and shape.

3. Screw the wood risers to the feet of the vanity using a screwdriver and the screws provided with the risers. Each riser has at least one hole for screws; some have three or four.
