Install An Upgrade Centos Default In Apache

CentOS is an operating system used on UNIX computers. If you are running a CentOS computer with Apache software, you can update the CentOS software. Many people use UNIX computers as web servers. Keeping CentOS up to date is the best way to keep Apache software running properly. You don't have to be a UNIX technician to update your CentOS system. You can do it yourself with just a few keystrokes.


Instructions


1. Click on the "Terminal" icon from the "Applications" folder on your desktop to launch a new Terminal window.


2. Type "# yum update" into the Terminal window and press the "Enter" button.


3. Press the "Enter" button when the "CentOS release 5.4 (Final)" text comes on screen.


4. Wait for the output text to appear on your system. It will look something like this:

5. Type "# reboot" into the Terminal window to reboot your system with the CentOS update.
