"
Infamous" is a third-person action game developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) in 2009. Players explore Empire City as Cole, a man who wakes up to find himself gifted with power over electricity. "Infamous" is an open-ended experience, with options to follow the story line, complete non-critical tasks or simple wander around doing whatever comes to mind. After choosing whether to activate or destroy the Ray Sphere, a call from Kessler activates the final mission and battle.
Instructions
1. Prepare yourself for the final battle with Kessler. If you feel your powers are inadequate, gain more experience points and upgrade them. Complete any missions you still wish to play through.
2. Head toward the final mission marker and watch the cinematics.
3. Set "Arc Lightning" to your main attack button if you are going down the Infamous path. The advantage here is accuracy and reliability at the cost of raw damage. Good players should focus on using "Lightning Bolt."
4. Learn and adapt to Kessler's attacks. When he hurls orange mines at you, do an evasive roll. These mines stay active during the course of the battle. Avoid getting too close to them.
5. Avoid Kessler's teleporting shockwave attack the best you can. His wide range shockwaves are dealt with by jumping and using Static Thrusters to avoid them.
6. Use Lightning Bolt/Arc Lightning right before and after Kessler fires a consecutive volley of electrical bolts at you. The window of opportunity here is slim. Dodge the actual attacks, or use a Polarity Wall to deflect them. Once you've endured several of these attacks, Kessler will get fatigued and go down on his knees. This is your chance to blast him with consecutive Arc Lightning/Lightning Bolt attacks.
7. Complete the Quick Time Event (QTE) which occurs after Kessler becomes weak enough. Don't worry about winning here, just get through it.
8. Resume your strategy, blasting his phantoms and dodging those large shockwaves. Use the openings he leaves you during certain moves to counterattack. Punish him when he falls to his knees, using your main attacks. Shockwave and then Lightning Bolt his drones. Arc Lightning is effective on them as well.
9. Bring Kessler's health down to nothing, which will engage the final QTE. Direct your attacks at his head and keep pressing the "X" button. Once he is defeated, watch the end sequence to discover Kessler's true nature and complete "Infamous."
