Accredited Doctorate Programs

A doctorate degree is the highest level of education in a specific subject. It can be earned in a wide-range of academic disciplines and typically takes four years to complete after earning a bachelor's degree. Doctorate degrees generally require about 30 to 40 college courses or 90 to 120 credits. Many doctorate programs require the completion of a research thesis. University of Northern Colorado


The University of Northern Colorado prides itself on being a big enough institution to provide a positive university experience, yet small enough to provide students with individual attention. It offers doctorates of philosophy, education, audiology, psychology and arts. Students can pursue doctorate degrees in a variety of fields such as applied statistics, audiology, biological education, counseling psychology, educational leadership and sports and exercise science. Prospective doctoral students must have at least a bachelor's degree, minimum GPA of 3.0, a minimum score of 400 on the GRE examination and three letters of recommendation. The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools fully accredits the University of Northern Colorado.
