Lucky Chances Casino
The Lucky Chances Casino is located in Colma, California, between South San Francisco and Daly City, and directly adjacent to San Bruno Mountain State Park. Opened in 1998, the Lucky Chances Casino specializes in card games, including Pai Gow, Baccarat, Black Jack and nine varieties of Poker. The casino sponsors card tournaments five days each week with prizes up to $20,000, and an additional tournament with a $40,000 prize. Red Fox Casino
One of northern California's smallest casinos, the Red Fox Casino is located in the town of Laytonville, about 20 miles from the Pacific to the west, and 30 miles from Mendocino National Forest to the east. The casino is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to midnight, is alcohol-free and advertises itself as "RV-friendly." The Red Fox allows patrons age 18 and up, as well as children when accompanied by an adult. The casino features a variety of slot machines in denominations as low as one penny and as high as $5, in addition to card and dice games. Sports are featured on a big-screen television, and an in-house cafe serves food from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
