Microsuede is microfiber woven in a way that makes it feel (and look) very similar to soft suede. So cleaning microsuede is like cleaning microfiber furniture. Because this upholstery appears delicate, cleaning it may seem difficult. Buy upholstery cleaners--microfiber cleaners--and use little or no water. Cleaning won't take long, especially true if you clean the sofa frequently and are quick to remove spills. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
Clean a Lazy Boy Microsuede Sofa
1. Vacuum the entire sofa, including under all the cushions. When vacuuming, use a vacuum attachment without a brush--brushes will just push dirt into the fibers of the microsuede.
2. Apply microfiber upholstery cleaner to the seat cushions. Gently rub the cleaner over one side of the seat cushions with a clean sponge or lint-free cloth. Turn the cushions over if they are removable, and clean the other side the same way. Next, place a clean sheet on the floor and place the cushions there until you are finished cleaning the rest of the sofa.
3. Apply microfiber cleaner to the arm rests and wipe it in with the sponge. Use the clean side of the sponge or get a new sponge if the first one is already dirty on both sides.
4. Clean the back (cushion side) of the sofa the same way, one section at a time. Apply cleaner to a three-square-foot section, use the sponge, and then move to the next section.
5. Replace the seat cushions, then clean the exterior back and sides of the sofa with the cleaner.
