Clean Micro-suede Furniture
Manufacturers list micro-suede's easy cleaning and basic care instructions as a major selling point for the material. Many homeowners with children purchase micro-suede furniture to keep chairs and couches looking clean in spite of the dirt and spills dumped on the fabric in normal everyday use. However, while keeping micro-suede clean is easier than keeping other fabrics and materials clean, the furniture still needs periodical maintenance to maintain a spot-free finish. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Clean up spills immediately. Blot the area repeatedly with a dry towel, then inspect for any remaining sign of the spill. If the spill remains, blot the area with a damp sponge, then pat it dry with a dry towel. Allow the damp area to dry completely before sitting on it.
2. Vacuum the couch using a soft-brush attachment weekly or whenever you vacuum the rest of the room.
3. Deep-clean the couch two or three times a year. Use a cleaning agent made specifically for microsuede or steam-clean the furniture. Follow the instructions for the specific cleaner or steamer.
