Clean Microsuede

Clean Microsuede

Microsuede, also known as microfiber, is a durable, water-resistant fabric often used as furniture upholstery. Although it feels like suede, microfiber is not leather. It is made of polyester, but not all microsuede is the same. Any time you are trying to remove a stain or spot from fabric, it is important to test your cleaner in an inconspicuous place. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Brush the soiled area with a toothbrush (or a carpet brush if it is a large area). This will remove any loose particles.

2. Check the tag on your micro suede furniture for cleaning codes: "W" means you should use a water-based cleaner. "S" means you should use a solvent cleaner. "S-W" means you can use either cleaner.

3. Wet a cloth or sponge with a little cleaning solution.

4. Dab the stained microsuede with the damp cloth. Do not over saturate.

5. Blot the area with another cloth until it is dry to the touch. Allow plenty of time for air drying.
