A camouflage bedroom theme can be the perfect choice for a boy whose father serves in the military.
To decorate your kid's room with a military camouflage theme, use store-bought decor or make your own, to put together a one-of-a-kind bedroom that he can be proud to call his own. Instructions
1. Paint the walls in a light color found within the camouflage you're using. For example, if your son's room is based around the light grays, tans and black of desert camouflage, paint the walls a light tan, cream or gray. Paint a camo design on the lower portion of the wall as a border around the room, or on an entire wall if you want something busier.
2. Hang a border or removable adhesive decals on plain walls. Choose camouflage or military shapes such as tanks, jets, helicopters or stars. Some wall decals can be removed and reapplied numerous times, which would allow your child to actually play with the wall decor. Frame posters or pictures with military images or stretch camouflage fabric over wood panels to adorn the walls.
3. Place the bed inside of a tent if there's room, or create a camouflage-upholstered headboard for the bed. Paint a camouflage design onto wood furniture such as a dresser. Change doorknobs to novelty military-shaped knobs. Metal or chrome furniture might give the bedroom a barracks atmosphere.
4. Finish the bed with a camouflage bed set or duvet that features military vehicles or symbols. The bedding should match the curtains and complement the mood of the room, whether it has been adorned with cartoonish military vehicles or real military insignia.
