PC Security 2011 slows your computer.
PC Security, also known as PC Security 2011, is a spyware program disguised as a legitimate anti-spyware program. The goal of PC Security is to scare you into thinking that your computer is infected with spyware so that you will purchase the "full version" of PC Security to remove the spyware. PC Security attempts to accomplish this by launching pop-up advertisements that make statements such as "Warning! Adware Detected!" Fortunately, the spyware program can be removed with a free anti-spyware program included with the Windows Vista and 7 operating systems.
Instructions
1. Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Windows Defender." The Windows Defender program opens.
2. Click "Tools" and "Options."
3. Check the box next to "Check for updated definitions before scanning" and click "Save."
4. Click the "Down Arrow" next to "Scan" and select "Full Scan." Windows Defender scans your computer for spyware, including PC Security, and removes any spyware that it detects. This may take anywhere between several minutes and several hours.
