When waddling around the online world of Club Penguin, you may have noticed other penguins wearing pirate outfits. These buccaneers were lucky enough to find Captain Rockhopper, an extremely difficult-to-find character whose presence on Club Penguin Island happens only about once a month. Rockhopper carries on his person several rare items (including clothing) that can be purchased with your in-game coins. Some of Rockhopper's items are for Club Penguin members only, so if you want to get a full pirate outfit, you may have to sign up for a full membership.
Instructions
1. Earn plenty of coins before searching for Rockhopper. Coins can be earned by playing the various games throughout Club Penguin Island. As pirate clothing items are sold separately, you will need anywhere between 150 and 350 coins for each item.
2. Find Rockhopper on Club Penguin Island. Tracking down this wandering pirate is no easy task. Rockhopper appears randomly and never in the same location. Rockhopper will be present on the Island only if his ship, the Navigator, is docked at the beach. To help you narrow down Rockhopper's location, check the Club Penguin server list. If a normally low-traffic server suddenly has a high number of users, it is likely that Rockhopper has arrived.
3. Click on Rockhopper to access his catalog (called "Rockhopper's Rare Items"). The catalog always contains one free item, two members-only items and one miscellaneous item that anyone can buy. The items in the catalog are as random as Rockhopper's location, but often the catalog will include at least one pirate clothing item. If the catalog does not contain the pirate outfit you are looking for, you will have to search for Rockhopper again once he comes back ashore.
