Owned and operated by descendants of the airport's founders, Dewey and Maude Cable, Cable Airport is situated on 105 acres and houses over 450 aircraft.
Ontario International
Located in Ontario, the L.A.-Ontario International Airport is located 4.8 miles southeast of the city of Upland and is home to 10 airlines, including Aeromexico, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and U.S. Airways. The airport offers complete airline services from its twin two-story terminals that opened in 1998. Ticketing and baggage claim services are offered on the terminals' ground floor while aircraft gates and all other passenger services are located on the second floor. Ontario International is less congested than the other international airports in the region, making it a popular alternative for travelers to Southern California.
San Bernardino International
Formerly known as Norton Air Force Base, San Bernardino International Airport (SBIAA) is located 24.5 miles from Upland and provides over 60,000 charter, corporate and general aviation flights per year. Situated on 1,500 acres, the airport is overseen by the San Bernardino International Airport Authority which is made up of representatives from San Bernardino County and several surrounding cities. In anticipation of future passenger airline service, the SBIAA undertook a massive upgrade to its passenger terminal that, as of December 2010, has yet to be completed.
John Wayne Airport
Owned and operated by the County of Orange, John Wayne Airport is located nearly 32 miles from Upland and is the only commercial airport in the county. Ten commercial, two commuter and two all-cargo airlines operate out of the airport which is home to more than 600 general aviation aircraft, including local law enforcement and medical flights. The airport is located near popular tourist attractions, including Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and beaches.
